The Oh Lesson

My bible like my literal bible doesn't get open as much as it should given that we all use the bible apps on our phones. But I have been doing my best to crack it open when I am home. Even if you don't know where to start, picking it up and cracking it open is the first place to start.

At the beginning of the year God gave me a word. It's two letters, so it's barely a word but it packs a lot of meaning.

Oh.

When God began to unfold what seemed to be such a simple word, it became pretty clear what 2018 was going to have in store for me. You see, when you learn something you say, "oh." It's actually a bit more like, "ooooooooooooh!"

It's that verbal light bulb moment you can't help but express. The journey through the lesson always looks different but the response is always the same. It's what I said to Jax last night when I found him sitting on top of his toy box. A big old resounding, "ooooooooooooh!"

Jesus replied, “You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand.” John 13:7
